Despite the many snow days and delays, sixth graders continue to work on their U.S. geography slide shows that describe a state of the U.S. based on the 5 themes of geography. This project involves reading, research, writing, and presentation skills. We are planning to complete most of the projects by February 5 (February 7 Period C) and students will present their state during the week of February 5. I am also hoping to post the projects on this website soon after that.
Writing The last period of the day for all grade 6 students is writing with their homeroom teachers. We are presently working on argument in literary essays. We are reading different stories and analyzing characters to create arguments about the motivations of why characters do what they do.
